Beauty Queens gift tins- Playful Promises

Logo (c) Playful Promises
I am really happy to say that Playful Promises now have released their new gift tins featuring my illustrations and they are now on sale here

There are 12 kinds, one for each month of the year and each set includes a different design of panties and the decorative tin. My personal favourite images are Miss February, April, August and October.

Sorry for this rather image heavy post but I want to show all the drawings. :)
(Photos of the tins are from the Playful Promises website)

Here they are, January - December in month order

A big thank you again to everyone involved at Playful Promises for giving me this opportunity and to my friend Fab for posing for me for reference.

Playful Promises gifting tins- preview

On Saturday Playful promises revealed on their facebook a preview of one of their new gifting tins that will feature my illustrations and be released online and in store in August.

In other news:
The Bizart craft fair in Malvern was a great experience. Even though it was snowy, icy and VERY cold, many people supported my art and the whole event in general and I enjoyed it a lot.

I am hoping to get some time to do some more painting, just for fun, over the next couple of weeks. :)

Playful Promises gift tins preview

Playful promises recently updated their facebook with a photo preview of their new gifting tins with my illustrations on! (minus the top two 'circus' themed tins)
They are not in full production yet or on sale in shops, but they should be later on this year! (12 designs in all) Each tin contains a pair of knickers! how cute!

Playful Promises TEASER

In my last update here I mentioned I was doing some artwork for 'Playful Promises'

Now the deadline is a pretty quick one, so for the last couple of days I have been getting some ideas down and starting some preliminary sketches.
(A big thank you to my friend Fabianna who helped me by agreeing to pose for me for some reference)

Here's a small teaser of just some of the stuff I've been doing:

'Playful Promises' Teaser

Of course, not all this 'teaser' artwork is not necessarily final and might end up being changed, edited, or scrapped altogether during the process with the client, but once the project is finished, I can show you all the artwork fully, and anything that was taken out as a bonus.

More teasers to come soon!

Playful Promises

I am very excited to say that I have recently been asked to produce some artwork for 'Playful Promises' who describe themselves as 'A London-designed brand which mixes quirky, directional design with all things playful, flirty, and even a little bit dirty. Our sumptuous collections consist of corsets, bras and panties, quirky gifts and swimwear.'

I am not going to reveal any final artwork until they have officially released it themselves and the project is completed, but I will be able to tease you with some work in progress through the duration of the project.
The theme of the project is currently a secret!

They really do sell some amazing products and are managed by some lovely people too!
so check out the links below.

Their boutique is found at:

Valentines Day

A painting of Dita Von Teese for Valentines day

Dita Von Teese

Today is the birthday of Dita Von Teese, one of my favourite celebrities and one of my ultimate fashion icons.
This image is a painting I was meant to give her when I met her at a London book signing December last year, but I became so star struck I totally forgot to hand it to her. I hope I have another chance. I haven't shared it until now. I plan to paint her even more in the future. She is such an inspiration to me.

The Art of the Teese

I am very interested in the art of Burlesque and vintage pin-ups. This is an older image from my second year at university. I was designing images for www.whatkatiedid.com
